The new
basketball and volleyball practice facility will sit directly
adjacent to the north side of Coors Events Center. It will add
35,000 square feet of space and feature two basketball/volleyball
courts, dedicated, modern locker rooms, coachesGÇÖ offices, and team
meeting rooms for the womenGÇÖs volleyball
team.
The target
date for completion is August 2011, in time for fall training camp
for the volleyball team. Cost of the project is $10.8 million,
funded from private funds.
The
structure will match the campus architectural Charles Klauder
theme, a northern Italian, rural Tuscany influence, with
varicolored sandstone and red-tiled roofs to match the other
