BOULDERGÇöUniversity of Colorado Director of Sports Video, Jamie Guy, was named the 2010 Big 12 Conference Video Coordinator of the Year on Tuesday by The Collegiate Sports Video Association.

GÇ£It is definitely a great honor,GÇ¥ Guy said.  GÇ£To win this award and for it to be voted on by my peers for the second time is special. A lot of those guys are very deserving of the award as well.GÇ¥

The awards are coordinated and voted by members of the Collegiate Sports Video Association; members of each conference select the winner for their respective leagues, and the recipients are placed on the national ballot for the overall CSVA award.  Guy is now a finalist for the Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year which will be announced on May 13.

GÇ£WeGÇÖve done a really good job this year of sharing ideas and having a constant and strong work flow this year,GÇ¥ Guy said.  GÇ£Our staff did a great job of collaborating ideas and projects and just trying to make each otherGÇÖs jobs more efficient.  We work well with the other schools in our conference and when teams come here weGÇÖre very open and try to do everything we can to help everyone out.GÇ¥

This is the second time that Guy has been named the Big 12 Conference Video Coordinator of the Year, as he had previously been awarded with the honor for 2005-06.

GÇ£I think he is one of the great hidden gems in our athletic department,GÇ¥ head football coach Dan Hawkins said.  GÇ£Jamie is very well respected in our program and nationally.GÇ¥

Guy is in his eighth full year at Colorado and the sixth as the Director of Sports Video, as he joined the year the department in August of 2001.  He was promoted to head of the department after only three seasons as the Assistant Director of Sports Video.
