BOULDER - With the last month of the regular season in full stride, the University of Colorado tennis team looks to build on last Saturday's win as the Buffaloes host Kansas State and Kansas this weekend at the South Campus Courts.

CU will play the Wildcats on Friday at 2 p.m., and the Jayhawks on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Live scoring on the front Colorado twitter web page will be available.

The Buffs ended a five-match skid defeating Missouri last Saturday at the Harvest House improving to 8-8 overall and picking up its first conference victory in five matches. K-State is 5-8 and 2-3 in the Big 12, brings a two-match winning streak into the match. KU is 9-8 and 1-4 in the conference.

The two home matches may feature history in the making as senior Monica Milewski looks to etch her name atop of two school records. With one more victory either on the singles or doubles court, Milewski will become the all-time leader of combined singles and doubles wins. She is currently tied with May 2009 graduate Franziska Jendrian, who accomplished the honor last year with 161 victories.

Milewski's next doubles win also breaks the school record held by Jendrian's 76 victories.

The Buffaloes also enter the weekend with a pair of ranked singles and doubles players in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) polls. Milewski and senior Melisa Esposito are ranked No. 95 and No. 124 (out of 125), respectively. Among the top-80 doubles teams, Esposito/Camila Belassi are No. 51, and Milewski/Ania Anuszkiewicz are No. 72.

Milewski has 20 singles victories for the year for the second time in her career, and has won eight of nine singles matches.  She remains unbeaten in Big 12 play with a 3-0 mark. Esposito has won three of four matches, and seven of her last 10. In doubles, Belassi/Esposito won its last four in a row (13 overall) before Belassi sustained a season-ending ACL injury. Anuszkiewicz and Milewski have tallied 13 doubles triumphs and have won eight of their last nine matches.
