Boyle Adds Mills to MBB Roster

Mills initially signed with Boise State during the early signing period, however was granted a release after the Broncos made a coaching change following the 2009-10 season. He is the third student-athlete to join the Buffaloes in the last two weeks.
A 7'1", 215-pound post player from Hartland, Wis., averaged 17.1 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per contest leading Arrowhead to a 25-3 record and the WIAA Division 1 state championship during his senior year. Mills also earned first-team all-state honors from both the Associated Press and Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association.
"Ben has all the tools and skills of a big man to play in the Big 12," Boyle said. "He has a tremendous upside, loves the game of basketball and wants to get better every day. We are pleased to get someone of Ben's drive, skill and talent this late in the recruiting period."
At the state championships, Mills averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds per game that earned him an all-tournament first team selection.
As a junior, he averaged 13 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks per game.
Mills also took official visits to Georgia Tech and Oregon State this spring. Northwestern, Iowa State, Bradley, Xavier, Toledo, UW-Green Bay and Utah State had also offered him a scholarship.
Mills is the third addition to the CU basketball team since Boyle was named the Buffaloes men's basketball coach on April 19. Mills joins Andre Roberson (a 6'7", 190-pound forward, San Antonio, Texas/Wagner High School) and Carlon Brown (a 6'5", 200-pound guard, transfer from the University of Utah/Riverside, Calif.).
