*Walk-ons

In leading his high school to a 15-1 record as a senior, Gorman became the sixth player in Pennsylvania history to rush for 1,000 yards and pass for 2,000 in one season.

Marquez is the son of Mike Marquez, a former CU running back in the early 1990s.

In addition to Richter (6-4, 305), CU signed junior college linebacker Evan Harrington (6-0, 225). Harrington is expected to arrive later this summer.

The high school signees who have not yet arrived include OL Anthony Crabb, WR Donnie Duncan, TE Justin Favors, OL Alex Lewis, TE Harold Mobley, TB Justin Torres, DE Chidera Uzo-Diribe  and LB Lowell Williams, Jr.

Offensive line coach Denver Johnson said Crabb is scheduled to be on campus in the next week or 10 days, while Torres is due near the end of the month.

PICTURE THIS: Running backs coach Darian Hagan will go into August camp wanting one or more of his players to step forward as a "game-changer."

In his CU playing career he was around a number of those (himself included). He recently launched a search in the athletic media relations office to find action shots of former Buffs such as Eric Bieniemy, Mike Pritchard, Rashaan Salaam, Chris Brown, Marlon Barnes, Cortlen Johnson, etc., to adorn the walls of the running backs' meeting room.

Hagan wants to give the current and incoming Buffs runners a visual history lesson on their predecessors and what roles they played in successful seasons.

Finding one or more productive tailbacks among the four incoming freshmen will be among the priorities in August camp.

DEFENSIVE INTERN ADDED: Bert Watts, a three-year starter at safety for the University of California, will fill the position of defensive technical intern on the Buffs staff.

After a senior season (2005) in which he led the team in tackles, Watts received the Joe Roth Award, given annually to the Bears player who best exemplifies courage, honor and sportsmanship.

Watts has coached at Cal as a graduate assistant (2004-06) and in Europe (2007-08). He spent the 2008-09 school years/football seasons teaching and coaching at a pair of Florida high schools.

Watts' addition fills out Dan Hawkins' coaching staff, but a director of football operations is yet to be named. That vacancy was created last winter when Robert Tucker took a job as assistant head coach at the University of Sioux Falls (S.D.).

Anthony Tucker was added to the staff as the offensive technical intern in March and Ben Steele, a former member of the operations staff, moved onto the field in the spring as an offensive graduate assistant (offensive line, special teams).
