Colorado-Texas Tech Notes
TTU shot 63.7 percent (14-of-22) in the first half which is the best first half performance by an opponent this season.
Colorado's 19 turnovers in the first half are the most it has committed in a half since committing the same amount against Nevada on Nov. 24, 2006. The Buffaloes had a season high 28 turnovers, and the most since at Texas Jan 13, 2007 when CU committed 34.
The Buffs' 44 points tonight is the lowest total this season. They shot 15-of-46 from the field, the fewest made and attempted in a contest this year.
Colorado outrebounded TTU 33-26 making this the sixth time CU has grabbed more boards than an opponent in a loss.
Brittany Spears became the second Buffalo to score 400 points in four consecutive seasons. The only other Buff to do this is Shelley Sheetz (1991-95).
Spears started her 116th game putting her in fifth place for most overall starts. She managed a season high three blocks today.
Her 12 points makes this the 22nd game out of 23 this season she has scored in double figures. She also has scored 10 or more in 101 of her 115 outings. She sits in third place with 101 games in double figures and needs just one more to catch Jackie McFarland (2004-08). Adding to her 12 points,
Spears grabbed 11 rebounds making this the 30th double-double of her career, eighth this season.
Rachel Hargis has played double-digit minutes (22) for the 20th time this season.
Ashley Wilson logged a season high 21 minutes
Meagan Malcolm-Peck went 2-of-3 from the three-point range. She has scored 15 of her last 29 from behind the arc.
