Tremblay Named USTFCCCA All-Academic

NEW ORLEANS - University of Colorado sophomore Laura Tremblay was named to the 2010 USTFCCCA Division I All-Academic Cross Country team on Tuesday.
Tremblay currently owns a 3.769 grade point average while majoring in chemical and biological engineering. She was the top harrier for the Buffs during the 2010 season, starting the season off by winning the 25th Annual Rocky Mountain Shootout. Tremblay followed up that performance with a runner-up finish at NCAA Pre-Nationals.
During the postseason Tremblay continued to excel. She was fourth at the Big 12 Championship and third at the NCAA Mountain Region Championship, earning her second all-conference and all-region honors in the progress. Tremblay capped off the season by placing 23rd at nationals to earn her first All-American honor.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have either earned USTFCCCA All-America status or finished in the NCAA region's top 15 (or top 10 percent) in 2010.
