Knutson Named CoSIDA District 7 Academic All-District

Knutson is a business administration major with an emphasis in finance and carries a 3.92 grade point average.
The senior from Littleton, is a two-time All-Big 12 Academic first team selection, a five-time Commissioners Honor Roll, and a six-time Dean's List honoree. He's also achieved a perfect 4.0 Grade Point Average in the Fall 2009 and Spring 2009 semesters, and earned CU's Scholar-Athlete Award for highest Junior G.P.A. in 2009-2010 (3.929).
On the court, Knutson is having his best season-to-date leading the Buffaloes in three-pointers made (47), free throw percentage (91.2), and is third on the team in points per game (11.6). He's also shooting 50 percent from the field with a career-high in field goals made (94) and attempts (170). From the three-point arc, Knutson is shooting 50 percent in 94 attempts.
He's tied for second in Big 12 Conference-only games in three-point percentage, and is tied for third overall in treys made (2.6).
CoSIDA is made up of eight districts and in two categories, university and college. Knutson will now be added to the national ballot.
CoSIDA began this program in the 1950's, and since then, has honored thousands of deserving student-athletes from numerous sports and across all divisions with these elite Capital One Academic All-America-« scholar-athlete honors. Currently, CoSIDA honors Academic All-Americans in 12 sports.
