BATON ROUGE, La. - The University of Colorado women's tennis team dropped their seven-straight match, falling to No. 56 LSU, 6-1, Wednesday afternoon at W.T. "Dub" Robinson Stadium.

The Buffaloes (3-10) have been on the road for six of their last seven matches. They return to the CU campus this Sunday, March 27 to take on Iowa State at 11 a.m.

LSU defeated CU two seasons ago in Boulder, now lead the overall series, 4-0 dating back 1987. The seven-game skid matches the longest for a CU team since the 1986-87 campaign.

The Tigers improved to 8-7 on the season and have now won six of their last seven. LSU took five of six singles matches in straight sets.

There were a few bright spots for the Buffs on the singles and doubles court. At No. 4 singles freshman Carla Manzi Tenorio notched her 12th win of the year and fourth triumph of the spring defeating Keri Frankenberger by default. At No. 3 doubles, Manzi Tenorio and freshmen Winde Janssens recorded their fifth victory at the No. 3 slot defeating Ebie Wilson/Kylie Adamek, 8-2.

Janssens/Manzi Tenorio, CU's most successful doubles team this season won for the 10th time this year, six of them in the spring.
