NEW ORLEANS - The University of Colorado women's track and field team moved up one position to 20th in this week's USTFCCCA Poll, which was released Tuesday.

The Buffs have a team total of 98.79 points in the computer generated poll. Jessica Pixler is responsible for a good part of that score as she has the top time in the NCAA, as well as the world, in the 5,000-meter run at 15 minutes, 25.58 seconds. She also ranks 13th nationally in the 1,500-meter run. Laura Thweatt and Camille Logan rank 26th and 27th, respectively, in the 10,000-meter run and Holly Odneal ranks 27th in the heptathlon.

Texas A&M is the top ranked team in the women's poll and Florida leads the way in the men's poll.

The Buffs host their second and final home meet of the season April 8-9. The hammer and javelin throws will be contested on Friday at 1 p.m. while all other events will take place on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. at Potts Field.  Admission and parking are free.
