NEW ORLEANS - As the 2011 track and field season heads into the postseason, the University of Colorado women's team maintained its No. 15 position in the USTFCCCA Rankings that were released on Tuesday.

The Buffs have a team total of 115.42 points in the computer generated poll. Emma Coburn and Jessica Pixler stayed in the top spot of their respective events, the steeplechase and the 5,000-meter run. Shalaya Kipp is the next highest ranked Buff as she is fourth nationally in the steeplechase. Laura Thweatt is just out of the top 10 in the 5k as she is 11th overall.

LSU remained the top team in the women's poll with 320.76 points and Texas A&M is the top men's team (347.96).

Colorado is back in action May 13-15 at the 2011 Big 12 Outdoor Track & Field Championship in Norman, Oklahoma. This is the final Big 12 Championship for the Buffaloes.
