NEW ORLEANS -The University of Colorado women's track and field team dropped two spots to No. 17 in the USTFCCCA Rankings on Tuesday.

The Buffs have a team total of 115.89 points in the computer generated poll. The Buffs are fresh off a 10th-place finish at the Big 12 Championship. Emma Coburn won her second 3,000-meter steeplechase title and Emily Hanenburg was eighth in the race. Laura Thweatt was the team's high points scorer, picking up 11 on her own. She was third in the 10k on Friday night and turned around to take fourth in the 5k on Sunday night. Camille Logan also scored for CU in the 10k, finishing sixth overall. The Buffs also had a pair of other finishers in the 5k. Shalaya Kipp raced to a fifth-place finish and Katie Cumming took sixth. Liz Tremblay also had a great meet as she finished third in the 800.  

LSU remained the top team in the women's poll with 316.65 points, while Florida knocked off Texas A&M for the top spot in the men's rankings with 373.17 points.

Colorado is back in action May 26-28 at the 2011 NCAA West Preliminary Championship in Eugene, Ore.
