The building was given LEED Platinum Certification, the highest possible by the internationally recognized system developed by the US Green Building Council.  To date, 557 buildings in the world have achieved it, 473 in the US. 

Of the 473 in the US, only 31 other buildings in all of higher education nationwide have met the standard, and this is the second athletic facility besides Florida's west stadium expansion. 

Campus has 14 buildings recognized by the LEED standard with only three on the platinum level, the others are the Systems Biotechnology and Williams Village buildings.
