COACH ELLIOTT ON BANAS: "We are very excited Rachael decided to come to Colorado late in her recruiting process and have enjoyed having her as a part of our program this year as the first ever CU lacrosse player. Rachael is a good athlete and offensive midfielder. Rachael will be a great asset for our freshman next year."

HIGH SCHOOL: Banas was the captain and MVP of the Adlai E. Stevenson lacrosse team her junior and senior seasons. She set a school record by scoring 10 goals in a single game. She was named to the Under Armour All-American and Great Lakes Lacrosse teams. She was a tournament MVP for the Wildcat Elite and Lakeshore Travel lacrosse clubs.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Banas is interested in business marketing.

PERSONAL: Rachael Banas was born on March 23, 1994. Her father, Stanley, played golf at Arizona State and works as a mechanical engineer. Her mother, Susie, is a real estate agent.
