COACH ELLIOTT ON HUNT: "Maddie is soft spoken but
extremely competitive and driven. She is a strong player with great
vision on defense. Maddie is not afraid of challenges. We are
looking forward to welcoming Maddie and her family into our CU
lacrosse family."
HIGH SCHOOL: Hunt was a four-year letter-winner in
three sports. In lacrosse, she helped Catonsville to back-to-back
Maryland 4A Regional Championships in 2012 and 2013, after going
.500 or under in her first two seasons with the team. Hunt received
back-to-back All-Division I honors and was named the Catonsville
Co-Athlete of the Year her senior season. She was also a three-time
All-Academic selection. She spent seven years with the Diamonds
Lacrosse Club. Hunt also played field hockey and basketball at
Catonsville, helping the hoopers to a county championship in
2010.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Hunt is interested in psychology
and biology.
PERSONAL: Mary Dorothy Hunt was born on August 14,
1995 to Rich and Shelly Hunt. She has worked as a nanny and camp
counselor and hopes to become a neonatal intensive care nurse after
college. She enjoys cooking. Her favorite food is salmon and her
favorite group is the Zac Brown Band. She loves Baltimore sports
teams. She enjoys the book To Kill a Mockingbird and the movie
Finding Nemo. She chose CU for the great atmosphere of the college
and the town.
