COACH ELLIOTT ON MORSCHES: "Annie is a strong athlete and midfielder. She is an extremely hard worker on both ends of the field and is just in the beginning of her lacrosse career. Annie's positive attitude and work ethic makes her potential limitless, and we are excited to watch her grow and excel at Colorado."

HIGH SCHOOL: A multi-sport athlete, Morsches helped the Culver lacrosse team to four consecutive state championship games, taking home the title in 2013. As a senior, she led the state with 60 goals and ranked second with 54 assists, helping her to first-team All-American titles from both U.S. Lacrosse and Lacrosse Magazine. The team captain her final year, she was named a Culver Athlete of the Month and earned back-to-back first-team All-State honors and spots on the State Championship All-Tournament team. She was also named to the All-Tournament team at Western Reserve. Morsches and her team capped the 2012 season as the runner-up in the Midwest Tournament. That season, Morsches also earned a spot on the All-Region team and was named to the Indiana/Kentucky National Team, competing with the team in the NCAA Final Four. Morsches played for the Lakeshore Lacrosse club in 2011 and 2012. She was a forward for the Culver basketball team, helping the squad to the 2011 Sectional Championship. She was also a four-year letter-winner for the equestrienne team and played volleyball.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Morsches plans on majoring in communication and is also interested in psychology.

PERSONAL: Anne Marissa Morsches was born on July 12, 1994 to Franz and Stacey Morsches. Her father is the president of the family's lumber company. Her brother, Turner, plays rugby at Furman University. Morsches enjoys horseback riding, snowboarding, traveling, reading and swimming. Her favorite team is the Indianapolis Colts, and her favorite athlete is Peyton Manning. She likes the music of Maroon 5 and the movie Shutter Island. At the Culver Academies, she held numerous prefect duties including horsemanship, leadership and lifeskills, hall and admissions. She has received four Academic Silver A honors and an Academic Gold A honor.
