Marie Moore

COACH ELLIOTT ON MOORE: "Marie is a strong, solid
midfielder. Her athleticism, speed, skill and competitive drive
make her a threat all over the field. Marie is the type of player
that will never give up and can grind it out mentally and
physically. We are extremely excited to have Marie in our first
ever recruiting class and believe she will excel at CU."
HIGH SCHOOL: Moore and the Brick Memorial lacrosse
team accomplished a lot in three seasons before Moore was forced to
sit out her senior year with an ACL injury. In Moore's first year
with the team, the Green Dragons recorded their first ever winning
season. In her freshman and sophomore seasons, she was named
third-team All-Shore. The team's captain for three seasons, Moore
scored 94 goals and had 73 assists her junior season while being
named to the South Jersey National Team and picking up first-team
All-Shore, third-team All-State and team MVP honors. Moore was the
Shore's leading point scorer, netting 202 goals and adding 168
assists in three seasons. She was named 2013 ESPN Player to Watch.
Moore was also skilled on the soccer pitch. She was her team's
captain her junior and senior seasons and earned three MVP honors.
She was also a first-team All-County and A-South selection. She
spent five seasons with the T3 Elite lacrosse club and helped the
Brick Bullets soccer club to the 2009 State Cup Championship. Moore
was also a two-year letter-winner in basketball.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Moore plans on majoring in
biology.
PERSONAL: Marie Moore was born on September 26,
1994 to Bernadette and Adrien David Moore. Moore was on
distinguished honor roll all four years of high school. She was a
member of the Key Club her freshman year, the National Honor
Society as a junior and the Peer Leadership mentoring program as a
senior. She enjoys math and going to the beach. She is a New York
Yankees fan who loves the music of Sublime.
