XC Women Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Award
NEW ORLEANS - The University of Colorado women's cross country team earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team status after recording a cumulative GPA of 3.36 during the fall semester.
The Buffs had an outstanding season athletically as well, winning the inaugural Pac-12 Conference Championship and tying for first at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships with New Mexico. They recorded an 11th-place finish at the NCAA Championships and had two athletes earn USTFCCCA All-American status, sophomore Shalaya Kipp and senior Emma Coburn. Kipp and Coburn were also named All-Pac-12 first team members, while senior Lara Darco and freshman Rachel Baptista were named to the second team.
In total, 205 teams earned USTFCCCA All-Academic awards. To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.
