Throwers Compete At Front Range Classic

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - University of Colorado sophomore Kajsa Bank earned runner-up honors in the hammer throw on Friday night at the Front Range Classic.
Bank recorded a throw of 126 feet to finish second in the hammer throw behind Air Force's Jackie Ahloo's toss of 131-09. Bank also placed ninth in the shot put with a mark of 35-04.
Cameron Hutchins earned a top-three finish for CU in the javelin throw with a mark of 140-07. He also placed eighth in the hammer throw (172-01).
Freshman Brady Rutt was the only Buff to compete in the discus throw and came away with a fourth-place finish and a mark of 165-02.
The Pac-12 Championships are next for the Buffs and will get underway Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6, in Eugene, Ore. as the combined events compete. The championships will continue May 12-13 with the remaining track and field events.
