DENVER GÇô Over 350 underprivileged youth enjoyed Christmas a little early this year, thanks to Delta Eta Boule, BunaGÇÖs Village and Toys for Tots this past Saturday, Dec. 21.

Low-income students were the beneficiary of hot meals, an abundance of toys including a free bicycle giveaway at the Hiawatha Davis Recreation Center in DenverGÇÖs Park Hill neighborhood.

BunaGÇÖs Village is a non-profit founded by CUGÇÖs national championship quarterback Darian Hagan and Nyasha Levy, whose 19-year old son DeVaughn GÇ£BunaGÇ¥ Levy-Hagan committed suicide in 2010. The foundation focuses on providing Denver families trauma support and tools for early achievement. They dispensed over 300 backpacks with school supplies at SaturdayGÇÖs event.

"It was such a thrill to help needy families and put smiles on the faces of the little kids," Hagan said.  "We were blessed with a beautiful son and we wanted to show our love for family and children.  Mission accomplished."

CUGÇÖs GÇ£Barrel Man,GÇ¥ Patrick Williams, former receiver and football administrator, and Christi George, daughter of CU athletic director Rick George, also were in attendance along with 250 volunteers overall to help make the third annual gathering its biggest success yet.
