Colorado-Arizona Notes
Colorado improves its series lead over Arizona to 12-3. The Buffaloes have won the last nine meetings including all six since joining the Pac-12 Conference.
Colorado has won 37 of its last 45 games against unranked opponents.
ColoradoGÇÖs comeback from a 16-point halftime deficit is the second largest in team history (since records are available from the 1978-79 season), trailing only the 19-point comeback against Washington on Dec. 21, 1982 in Portland. The Buffaloes 20-point comeback is believed to be the best overall in team history, certainly since play by play records were kept on a more consistent basis since the 1981-82 season.
The 10 points allowed to Arizona in the second half is the fewest for a CU opponent in that period, fewest for any half in a conference regular season game and ties for the second most in any half overall. The Buffaloes allowed Kansas State only eight first half points in the first round of the 1992 Big Eight Tournament. Colorado also held Wyoming to 10 in the first half in Laramie on Dec. 9, 1998 and did the same against New Mexico at home on Dec. 9, 1998.
ArizonaGÇÖs two field goals are one fewer than the previous CU opponent record low for a half of three done twice, vs. Texas State on Dec. 1, 2010 and vs. Kansas State on Mar. 7, 1992.
ArizonaGÇÖs 10 percent second half shooting (2-of-20) broke CUGÇÖs previous opponent low for a half of 13 percent (3-of-23) by Kansas State in the first round of the 1992 Big Eight Tournament (Mar. 7, 1992).
Colorado played its first overtime game of the season, improving its record to 21-22 overall in extra session games, including 13-14 on the road. The Buffaloes have won two straight and five of its last seven overtime battles.
Colorado has held 15 opponents under 60 points this season and holds an opponent under 70 for the 51st time in the last 59 games.
Arielle RobersonGÇÖs double-double was her team-leading fifth of the season and first in Pac-12 play and eighth of her career. She played in a career-high 41 minutes and also tied a personal best with three blocks.
Jamee Swan had a career and team-season high six steals. She also played a personal best 38 minutes.
Ashley Wilson had a 11 points scoring in double-digits for the third time in four games. Six of her eight career double-figure scoring games have come this season.
Desiree Harris scored her first collegiate field goal.
Haley Smith was a perfect 4-of-4 from the line, both career highs. She was just 5-of-9 from the line in her first 23 games.
