COACH SANCHEZ ON WATSON:
GÇ£With us graduating four year starter Annie Brunner in goal, we are excited to add Scout to the competition for next fall. She plays her club soccer with Huw Williams at Sporting Blue Valley that is of the top ECNL club teams in her age group.GÇ¥

HIGH SCHOOL:
Watson was a multi-sport star at Blue Valley Northwest. In soccer, she was a three-year letter-winner, helping the Huskies to a 24-9-4 record in her sophomore and junior seasons and the 2013 state and regional championships. She also played basketball (a three-year letter-winner as a guard), volleyball (helping the team to the 2013 runner-up title and sub-state championship as a right side hitter) and softball (playing shortstop and second base, for which she was an honorable mention selection as a freshman). Watson was the first female athlete at BVNW to play three sports all four years. With the Sporting Valley soccer club, Watson earned a fourth place finish at the 2012 ECNL Nationals and fifth at the 2013 Nationals. Watson was also named to the 2012-13 ECNL All-Event Team.    

IN THE CLASSROOM: Watson hopes to major in broadcast journalism and communication at CU.

PERSONAL: Scout Hunter Watson was born on May 1, 1996 to parents Vincent and Rebecca Watson. Her nickname is Scooter. She has three older sisters: Madison, who played soccer at Wentworth Institute of Technology; Parker, who swam for the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee; and Aaron. As the youngest in her family, she has a jungle gym for a bedroom, consisting of a slide, rock wall, firemanGÇÖs pole and monkey bars. Watson enjoys singing (though she says sheGÇÖs not very good), playing sports and trying to make people laugh. Watson volunteers for the Special Olympics. She chose Colorado because it was the best opportunity to play collegiate soccer and the university has a great broadcast program. She is interested in sports broadcasting, communications and the process of creating a story.
