BOULDER GÇô The University of Colorado goes into spring break mode come 5 p.m. Friday, but in the morning football coach Mike MacIntyre and his staff will put the Buffaloes through their first major scrimmage of the spring season.

Last Friday, the Buffaloes logged 65 scrimmage plays plus six kicks in just 48 minutes, but it was a GÇ£50-on-inGÇ¥ affair, as the offense started all 12 possessions at midfield.  It was also designed to meet the standards of NCAA spring rules, as the first half of practice took place on the practice fields north of Boulder Creek prior to the team relocating for the scrimmage in Folsom.

FridayGÇÖs entire practice will be in Folsom, beginning with the team stretch at 8:15, the scrimmage, expected to go around 100 plays, will commence at about 9:25.

It will be CUGÇÖs seventh of 15 practices this spring, the first of three where tackling is allowed for over 50 percent of the session.  The remaining eight will be held after spring break, with CUGÇÖs annual spring game set for Noon on Saturday, April 12.  The final practice will be the Monday following that game.

Practices and scrimmages are open to the public and are free; however, with school in session on Friday, fans are advised that parking on campus is very minimal and anyone who parks in a lot that requires a permit is subject to being ticketed.
