Alexandra Vidger Bio

COACH SANCHEZ ON VIDGER: GÇ£Alex has been primarily a center-back for most of her life, but over the last couple years with her club team, Colorado Real, she has been playing a defensive center midfielder. She has great size, great athleticism and is very good in the air. Playing in the midfield for Real, it has really helped with her speed of play, technique and playing out of pressure. We look at her as a player that is versatile enough in the Pac-12 to play at center-back or as a holding center midfielder. WeGÇÖre excited to get Alex in and see her compete.GÇ¥

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Vidger has earned a Varsity letter all four years as a high school player.  She was named the teamGÇÖs Defensive Player of the Year in her sophomore and junior seasons.  Vidger also earned recognition as First-team All-League as a junior and Second-team All-League as a sophomore.  She participated in an Olympic Development Camp in 2011 through 2013 and was part of the Regional IV Camp in 2012.  Vidger played her club ball alongside fellow 2015 recruit Amy Alexander with Real Colorado out of Highlands Ranch, Colo.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Vidger intends to major in broadcast news and she is also interested in marketing.
