Sarah Kinzner Bio

COACH SANCHEZ ON KINZNER: GÇ£We are very fortunate Sarah is joining us at Colorado. Sarah is a pure playmaker. She can score goals, set up goals and she is very creative on the ball. We expect Sarah to come in and have an immediate impact on our program. She also is a very good student and I think she is going to fit in well at CU and everything we are doing with our program. She has the potential to be a real impact player for us.GÇ¥

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB:  Kinzner earned honors each of her four seasons at Bishop Grandin High School and was named the city female soccer player of the year as a senior.  As member of Foothills FC, she participated in Club Nationals in 2010 and 2012, where the team finished fifth and third respectively.  KinznerGÇÖs experience with the ASA Provincial Team was annual starting at 13-years of age in 2009 and continued through 2013.  She was named to Team Alberta in her age group three years in a row (2011-2013).  Kinzner also participated in the under-17 CONCACAF in Jamaica for the Canadian National Team, earning a silver medal.  She also played on the U17 and U20 Canadian National Teams in the FIFA World Cup, reaching the Quarter Finals each time in 2014.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Kinzner plans to major in business. She is also interested in math and science.

PERSONAL:
Sarah Kinzner of Calgary, Alberta was born on August 28, 1997 to Robert and Phyllis Kinzner. Her father, Robert is an auditor and her mother, Phyllis is an administrative assistant. Kinzner is the youngest of three. She has two sisters, Kelsey and Melissa. Kelsey is a senior on Mount Royal UniversityGÇÿs soccer team in Calgary and is a three-time Academic All-Canadian Award winner and Melissa is a sophomore in college. Kinzner will be joining her cousin, Tanner Jaillet, in the Centennial State as he is a freshman, goalie on DenverGÇÖs hockey team. Kinzner loves funny movies and would like to become an accountant when she graduates. She decided to attend CU because itGÇÖs a member of the Pac-12 Conference, its academics and coaching staff.
