Lacrosse Welcomes New Hampshire To Boulder On Tuesday
BOULDER GÇô The University of Colorado lacrosse
team returns to Kittredge Field on Tuesday, March 17 to face the
University of New Hampshire Wildcats at 3 p.m.
Colorado (2-2) will look to bounce back after dropping its last
game against then seventh-ranked Northwestern on the road. CU is
2-1 at home this season and is 0-1 in just the one previous meeting
against New Hampshire.
The game will mark the first time the Wildcats have traveled to
Boulder as they finish out their tour of the Centennial State,
having played the Denver Pioneers on Sunday (March 15), where they
fell 8-6.
TuesdayGÇÖs game will be televised on Pac-12 Networks. Mike Wolf has

COLORADO VS. NEW HAMPSHIRE: The Buffs hold an 0-1 all-time
record against the Wildcats. Last season, in the Buffs and
WildcatsGÇÖ only previous meeting, CU feel 14-11 on New HampshireGÇÖs
home field.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS: New Hampshire visits Boulder for
the first time on Tuesday and has posted a 3-4 record in seven
games this season and 2-3 on the road. The Wildcats are coming off
an 8-6 defeat at the hands of the Denver Pioneers on Sunday.
Attacker Laura McHoul leads New HampshireGÇÖs offensive front with 26
points, tallying 14 goals and 12 assists. She is also second on the
team in draw controls and shots. Freshman Kate Clancy is the
goalkeeper of record in every game this year where she has recorded
57 saves and holds a 10.67 goals against average.
LAST TIME OUT: Colorado played its first road game of the
season on March 7 traveling to then seventh-ranked Northwestern.
The Buffs fell 14-8 in Evanston, Ill. after a tough battle where CU
put up a good fight, but the Wildcats eventually pulled away in the

Fusco once again led the offensive charge, recording her fourth
straight hat trick to begin the 2015 campaign. Freshmen Blair
Sisk and Darby
Kiernan both contributed two goals as well. Goalkeeper

Soenksen was credited with 13 saves.
PROGRAM FIRSTS: In the BuffaloesGÇÖ game against
Presbyterian on March 2, CU turned in a record setting performance
for the black and gold, posting the largest margin of victory (19),
allowed the fewest number of goals (0), shots (5), assists (0) and
points (0) by an opponent and tallied their first shutout in
program history. The Buffs also recorded the second most points in
a single-game (25) and tied a program record with 19 goals.
HATRICKS ALL AROUND: Five Buffaloes have recorded hat
tricks this season. Johnna

MAKING AN IMPACT: Freshmen Darby

Oliver and Blair
Sisk have made every minute count while on the playing field,
making immediate contributions in their first season on the team.
Kiernan has started all four games and is tied for second with
seven goals and two assists. Oliver saw her first playing time
against Presbyterian and scored three goals on three shots. Sisk
has started three games and is third on the team in scoring,
tallying six goals and has seven points, which is third on the
team.
FIERCE FUSCO: Sophomore Johnna
Fusco continues to be a force each week. She leads the
Buffaloes in goals (14), points (16), shots (28), shots on goal
(24) and is 7-12 on free position shots. She also is tied for
second in assists (2) and is second in draw controls (10). The
attacker has recorded a hat trick in all four games to begin the
season and has scored seven goals over the last two contests. She
ranks second in the MPSF in goals per game (3.50 average) and first
in shots per game, averaging seven in each contest.
NEW COMPETITION: Colorado has six first-time opponents on
its schedule this year- Marquette, Presbyterian, Northwestern,
Michigan, Boston College and UMass Lowell The Buffs are 2-1 thus
far against them, with wins against Marquette and
Presbyterian.
MPSF COACHESGÇÖ POLL: CU was picked to finish fifth in the
2015 Preseason Mountain Pacific Sports Federation WomenGÇÖs Lacrosse
CoachesGÇÖ Poll. The Buffs received 46 points. Reigning MPSF
Champion Denver took the top spot, receiving seven of the possible
10 first-place votes.
