She will add depth, speed and athleticism to our team through the midfield. I am looking forward to watching her continue to grow and excel here at The University of Colorado.GÇ¥

HIGH SCHOOL: Stinson was a two-sport athlete at Trinity Episcopal School in Richmond, Va. She was a five year varsity starter, earning five letters with the lacrosse team and a four year varsity starter, earning four letters in field hockey. A two-time lacrosse captain, Stinson earned numerous accolades, including a First-Team All-American selection as a junior and senior, First-Team All-State in 2015, and in 2014, she was an All-State Second Team selection. Stinson, the 2015 Trinity Episcopal Female Athlete of the Year was also selected to the USA Today All-USA Virginia Girls Lacrosse Team the same year. She was an All-Conference team selection five times and led the team in scoring during her freshman, sophomore and junior seasons. She is the all-time leading scorer at Trinity Episcopal with 345 goals and 124 assists, highlighted by scoring 94 goals and tallying 18 assists in the final year of her prep career. Stinson played on the WDNT-Mid-Atlantic team from 2012-14 and was part of the Mohawk bracket champions in 2014. Also in 2014, she was on the Under Armour All-American-DC Metro team. In 2011, she earned Rookie of the Year honors, was named Offensive Player of the Year during in 2012 and earned one of the teamGÇÖs top honorsGÇôthe Most Valuable Player award as a junior and senior. As a member of the field hockey team, Stinson played midfield and defense, and helped guide her team to a Conference Championship in 2014, while also earning All-Conference honors the same season.

IN THE CLASSROOM: Stinson is majoring in marketing.

PERSONAL: Miranda Nicole Stinson was born in Alpharetta, Ga. on June 8, 1997 to parents Thomas and Elizabeth Stinson. Stinson loves fishing, rock climbing, horseback riding, hiking, plants, reading, and movies. Her favorite food is pasta and cheese and one of her favorite books is Divergent. After graduation, Stinson hopes to be the owner of her own business.
