COACH ELLIOTT ON LISELLA: GÇ£We are excited to add Julia to our program and group of strong goaltenders. She is calm and mentally strong in the goal. She competes every day and never passes up an opportunity to get better and play. Being from Colorado we have had a lot of opportunities to get to know and work with Julia over the last 3 years and I am excited for her future here at CU.GÇ¥
HIGH SCHOOL: Lisella earned four letters in lacrosse playing goalie at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colo. Her junior year she was the top-ranked goalie in the state and 12th in the nation, and in 2015, she and her team won the league championship. In her final season, she was named Jeffco League MVP, earned All-Colorado honors and was named an All-American honorable mention. In addition to lacrosse, Lisella played softball and basketball.
IN THE CLASSROOM: Lisella is majoring in integrative physiology and is also interested in psychology.
PERSONAL: Julia Rea Lisella was born in Denver, Colo. on December 12, 1996 to parents John and Michelle Lisella. Over the summer, Lisella coached lacrosse. Her favorite food is steak and potatoes and her favorite movie is Friday Night Lights. Her favorite football team is the Denver Broncos and her older brother is an offensive lineman on the CU football team, John Lisella Jr. After graduation, Lisella would like to become a physical therapist.
