Week Ahead: Hoops, Track, Tennis, Broncos Watch Party

BOULDER GÇö Basketball, track and field and a Broncos watch party are all on tap this week for Colorado Buffaloes fans.
Tad BoyleGÇÖs menGÇÖs basketball team will play a pair of home games, Wednesday vs. Oregon State (9 p.m.) and Sunday vs. Oregon (5 p.m.). Linda LappeGÇÖs womenGÇÖs team will make its annual swing through Arizona, with an 11 a.m. game Friday at ASU and a Sunday afternoon game at Arizona (2 p.m.).
Also this weekend, Mark WetmoreGÇÖs indoor track and field team will host the annual Potts Invitational at Balch Fieldhouse, with events scheduled for Friday and Saturday; and CU's spirit teams will be participating in the national championships.
MENGÇÖS BASKETBALL: After dropping a 56-54 nailbiter to Utah last weekend, the 12-4 Buffs will attempt to get back on the winning track with a pair of Pac-12 games at the Coors Events Center.
WednesdayGÇÖs game vs. OSU will be the first for the Buffs since the beginning of the spring semester, and CU will welcome the students back with a special $1 ticket for students, along with a pre-game tailgate sponsored by Freshii. The tailgate will include music and free Freshii wraps for students from 8-9 p.m.
Sunday, CU will host a Broncos playoff game watch party, open to all fans, in ChipGÇÖs Corral in the CU practice facility prior to the CU-Oregon game (5 p.m.). ChipGÇÖs Corral will open at 2 p.m. with the Broncos-Steelers game on the big screen televisions and food and beverage will be available for purchase. The Corral will remain open until the end of the Buffs-Ducks game.
POTTS INVITATIONAL: Venerable Balch Fieldhouse, home to a long list of outstanding indoor track performances over the decades, will host its final indoor track meet Friday and Saturday.
The meet schedule begins Friday with the menGÇÖs and womenGÇÖs pole vault and the menGÇÖs and womenGÇÖs high jump events at 3 p.m. The majority of the events will be held Saturday, beginning with the menGÇÖs 60-meter hurdles at 1 p.m. and concluding with the womenGÇÖs 4x400 relay at 3:30 p.m.
Admission is free.
TENNIS: Nicole KenneallyGÇÖs tennis team opens its spring season Sunday with an 11 a.m. home match vs. Air Force at the Rocky Mountain Tennis Center (1345 28th St.). Admission is free.
WOMENGÇÖS BASKETBALL: LappeGÇÖs Buffs will be pursuing their first Pac-12 win of the season after two stellar defensive efforts came up just short in last weekendGÇÖs Bay Area swing.
The Buffs will play a rare weekday day game Friday at ASU (11 a.m. tip), then travel to Tucson on Sunday for a 2 p.m. game against Arizona.
FridayGÇÖs game will be available on live stream as well as live audio at CUBuffs.com, while SundayGÇÖs game will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks.
