Colorado-Fort Hays State Notes
Colorado has won 14 of its last 15 and 24 of its last 26 at the Coors Events Center. The Buffaloes improve to 94-16 (.855) at Coors under head coach Tad Boyle.

Colorado led at the half (39-22) for the first time in five games, improving to 5-0 in those contests. Fort Hays State outscored the Buffaloes 49-42 in the second period. The 49 points were the most the Buffaloes have given up in the second half this season and one-off the overall season high (50 in the first half to Notre Dame.

The performance breaks the previous facility record for any half, held by Colorado’s Cory Higgins, who scored 28 against Colorado State on Dec. 10, 2008 (2nd) and Tony Dumas, who scored 28 for UMKC against the Buffaloes on Jan. 12, 1994 (2nd). Davis was held scoreless in the first half, missing all four shots while playing only eight minutes with three fouls. Davis was 11-of-16 in the second half including 7-of-8 from 3-point range.

Josh Fortune (15 points, 5-of-9 FG, 3-of-6 3FG) season high in points, field goals made and 3-pointers made. He broke an 0-of-16 shooting slump with a 3-pointer in the first half. The slump had dated back to the second half of the game at Portland and included nine straight misses from 3-point range. After missing his first two shots of the game, Fortune made 5 of his final 7, including 3 of 5 from 3-point range.

Deleon Brown (15 points, 3-of-5 3FG) career highs in points, field goals made and attempted both overall (4-of-6) and from 3-point range. He had scored just 15 points the previous seven games combined. Also a personal-best 4-of-6 from the line and two steals.

Made a personal CU-best eight free throws, also his most without a miss in a Buff uniform and the second-best team output of the season. White has made his last 12 from the free throw line.

Wesley Gordon made his 102nd career start tying Stevie Wise (1987-91) for ninth on CU’s all-time list. Xavier Johnson made his 77th career start, tying Rodell Guest (1987-91) for 19th.
