Colorado-Air Force Notes

Colorado improves to 9-3 overall and has won 4-of-5 and 6-of-8.
 
Colorado improves its series lead over Air Force to 23-3 and has won seven straight. The Buffaloes have won 11-of-13 all-time meetings at the Academy.
 
Colorado had its best first half shooting performance of the season hitting 52.6 percent (10-of-19). After starting 1-of-4 from the field the Buffaloes hit six straight and 7-of-8 which also coincided with a 10-0 Colorado run that the Buffaloes a 20-15 lead. Air Force started out 5-of-10 but hit only 3-of-18 to close the half (16.7 percent). Colorado has held its last two opponents to 25 percent shooting in the first half (15-of-60).
 
Colorado finished the game at 54 percent (27-of-50) its second best performance of the season (56.6 percent vs. Wofford).
 
Colorado had 12 first half turnovers, a season high for a half. The Buffaloes came in averaging just 12.7 turnovers per game. Air Force, averaging 10.7 turnovers per game, had eight in the first half. Both teams cleaned up their play in the second half. Colorado had just four turnovers in the final 20 minutes while Air Force had three.

Registered his fourth double-figure scoring game of the season and first since his season-high 11 points vs. CSU. Tied a season-high with four field goals made and had his most efficient performance of the season at 80 percent. He has made 6-of-8 over his last two games. He moved into seventh in career starts at 103 and 25th in overall games played at 111.
 
Dominique Collier (9 points, 3-of-6 3FG) made his first appearance after missing the last nine games with a foot injury. Has made 7-of-13 from 3-point range in his three games (.538)
 
Deleon Brown (10 points, 4 assists 3-of-6 FG) second straight game scoring in double figures (12.5 ppg). Has 25 points over the last two games after scoring 33 over his first 10. He has made 7 of his last 12 field goal attempts and 4-of-8 from 3-point range. His four assists were a personal best.
 
Xavier Johnson (14 points, 6 rebounds, 5-of-7 FG) scored in double-figures for the fifth straight game and sixth in his last seven. Has made 10-of-15 from the field over the last two games (.667). He moved into 21st in career rebounding with 588, passing Alex Stivrins who had 583 from 1983-85. Johnson also moved into 18th in career games started at 78.
