Colorado’s 14 wins over ranked opponents in Boyle’s seventh season is by far the best streak in team history. In fact Boyle coached teams, with a record of 14-24, have accounted for 24 percent of wins over ranked opponents (58) since 1949-50.

Colorado won for the first time in five games when losing the rebounding battle (41-36). Colorado’s last win when losing the rebound battle was its 88-81 double overtime win over Washington State on Feb. 11, 2016 (WSU outrebounded CU 40-36)

A 15-0 Colorado run midway through the second half turned a 47-39 deficit into a 54-47 CU lead and the Buffs never trailed again.

Xavier Johnson (18 points, 7 rebounds, 7-of-11 FG) made 3-of-4 from 3-point range. His second made 3-pointer was also the 100th of his career. He is 12-of-22 from the field over the last two games (.545). Johnson jumped from 27th to 25th on CU’s all-time scoring list and now has 1,123. He passed Jim Davis (1,110 from 1961-64) and Spencer Dinwiddie (1,115 from 2011-14).

George King (16 points, 10 rebounds) recorded his third double-double of the season and fourth of his career. His three double-doubles have been in the last six games. Hit 3-of-4 from 3-point range after going 0-of-6 the previous two outings.

Derrick White (23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists) recorded personal CU highs in points and also field goals made and attempted (9-of-17). His 17 attempts are a team season-high while his nine field goals ties the team season-best mark (Xavier Johnson vs. Wofford).

Wesley Gordon (5 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds) made his 100th career start, 10th on CU’s all-time list. His five assists are a season high and just one off his career-best of six set against Arizona on Feb. 24, 2016 – CU’s last home win over a ranked opponent.

Josh Fortune made both free throw attempts putting him at 31-of-35 on the season (.886).
