GÇó Westside Timbers
Club: She played for Westside Timbers and was coached by Chris Thurley. She led Westside to three USYSA state championships and U.S. Club state championships, winning the Far West Regional in 2014. She played with FC Portland ECNL as a junior in high school.
ODP: Participated in the Oregon Olympic Development Program and was a member of the ODP state team from 2012-14. Participated in the regional ODP in 2013 and was invited in 2014.
High School: Guthner was a four-year member of the West Linn High School soccer team. She was named first team all-league as a sophomore after recording seven goals and 12 assists, but missed her junior and senior seasons with injuries. Also an excellent student, she is a member of the National, Math, Foreign and Music Honor Societies, NSHSS and Link Crew. She lettered in track as a freshman and participated at the state meet in the 400 meters, 4x100 meters and 4x400 meters, breaking the school record in the 4x400.
Personal: She was born Juliana Morgan Guthner on Feb. 7, 1998, in Chicago, Ill. She is the daughter of Joe and Becky Guthner and has a younger brother Dane, who plays soccer and lacrosse. Guthner plans on majoring in integrative physiology and is also interested in biology, planning to become a physical therapist after graduation. She volunteers with the Ronald McDonald House and as a youth soccer coach. She also danced in ballet for 11 years and is been a soprano in choir for the past six years.
