The Buffaloes hold a series advantage of 21-18 against Northern Colorado.

Colorado has now won 10 consecutive home openers, a perfect 8-0 under Head Coach Tad Boyle.

The Buffs have won 22 of their last 27 games against nonconference regular season opponents.

The Buffs held UNC to just nine made field goals in the first half and scored 12 points off the Bears’ 10 turnovers. .

Colorado closed the game with a 20-5 rebound advantage over the final 10 minutes. The Buffaloes went from minus-8 (33-25) on the boards before finishing plus-7 (45-38).

Northern Colorado’s bench was held scoreless in the second half. They scored only four points the entire game.

UNC shot 56 percent from inside the arc (14 of 25) but just 16 percent from 3-point range (6 of 37).

Northern Colorado’s Anthony Johnson was held to seven points on 3-of-15 shooting tonight. In the 2015 meeting, he had 18 points and seven rebounds on Nov. 29, 2015. Johnson finished 0-of-10 from 3-point range tonight.

Colorado held an opponent to 51 points or less for just the third time in the last 35 games (two sub-51 point games in 2016-17).

Colorado finished the first half on an 8-0 run to extend lead to 11. The Buffs went on a 12-0 run that ended at the 5:03 mark in second half to put the Buffs up 13. UNC used a 13-0 run in the second half to tie, but the Buffaloes pulled away with their own 12-0 run.

George King (12 points, 4-of-7 FG, 1-of-2 3P, 9 rebounds) records his 48th career double-figure scoring game. Moved into 36th in career rebounding (439).

Tory Miller-Stewart (11 points, 3-of-5 FG, 5-of-8 FT, 5 rebounds) Recorded his 15th career double-figure scoring game. His eight free throw attempts tied a career-high (Dec. 19, 2015 vs. Hampton, Nov. 22, 2015 vs. Omaha). Made at least five free throws for the fourth time in his career

Dominique Collier (3 assists, 2 steals) moved into 25th on Colorado’s all-time list for career steals (82) and into 32nd for career assists (178).
