George King (25 points, 9-of-13 FG, 5-of-6 3FG, 15 rebounds) new career high of 15 rebounds, earning his 8th career double-double. Back-to-back 20-point games for the third time in his career, the first two coming in 2015-16. His 50 points in a two-game span is a personal best. Today was his 12th career game of 20-plus points and 54th in double figures.
King tied his career high with five 3-point field goals made and moved into a tie for eighth all-time at Colorado with 129, joining Levi Knutson (2007-11) and Donnie Boyce (1991-95).
King is now at 976 points, leaving him just 24 shy of becoming the 34th player in team history to reach 1,000.
King has made 18 of his last 26 from the field (.692) overall. After beginning the season 2 of 10 (.200) from 3-point range, he has made 8 of his last 12 (.750).
McKinley Wright IV (19 points, 8-8 FT) has scored in double figures the first six games of his career, the best mark by a Colorado freshman since Alec Burks scored in double figures his first 20 games in 2009-10. His 8 for 8 performance from the line is a personal and team season best.
Namon Wright (7 points, 4 assists, 2-2 FT) has made his last nine free throw attempts and 17 of his last 19. Wright had four assists tonight after recording just three in his first five games.
