Colorado-Colorado State Notes

Colorado State wins its second straight over Colorado and snaps a four-game skid for the home team in this series. Colorado maintains a commanding 89-39 lead over the Rams all-time.

The loss is just Colorado’s sixth in its past 33 nonconference regular season games. Two of those six losses are to Colorado State.

Colorado was outrebounded for the second time this season and Colorado State’s plus-14 advantage (46-32) is the most against the Buffaloes against a nonconference opponent since BYU was plus 15 (46-31) on Dec. 10, 2016.

McKinley Wright IV (19 pts, 8 reb, 4 asst, 4-8 3FG) career-best four 3-pointers made. Led Colorado in scoring for the third time this season and in rebounds for the first time. He has now scored in double-digits for the seventh straight time to begin his career, the most by a Buff since Alec Burks had 20 in 2009-10. His eight rebounds were also a personal best.

Dominique Collier (10 points) season-best 10 points, reaching double-digits for the first time this season and the 18th time in his career.

George King (9 pts, 7 reb) moved into 35th place in career scoring and needs just 15 points to become the 34th Buff to reach 1,000. He moved into 31st in rebounding, now with 490. King hit one 3-pointer to move his total to 130, tying former teammate Xavier Johnson for seventh on CU’s all-time list.

Dallas Walton (6 pts, 3-3 FG) made his first collegiate start, hitting all three of his shots and recording a career-high six points.
