Colorado snaps New Mexico’s three-win streak in the series and evens it at 7-7.

Colorado has won 28 of its last 34 games against nonconference regular season opponents. They have won 20 of their last 21 nonconference regular season games at the Coors Events Center.

New Mexico’s two leading scorers Chris McNeal (15.6 ppg) and Sam Logwood (16.5 ppg) were held to just two points combined in the first half. They finished with a combined 6 points in the entire game.

George King (10 points, 3-of-6 FG, 1-of-2 3FG, 11 rebounds) King records his second double-double of the season, the 9th of his career. He passes Toney Ellis (1976-80) and is now 34th on CU’s all-time scoring list with 995 points. He also moves to 29th on CU’s all-time rebounding list with 501.

McKinley Wright IV (12 points, 5-of-10 FG, 10 rebounds, 4 assists) grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds. His double-double tonight is the first points-rebounds double-double by a non-forward for the Buffaloes since Josh Fortune had 17 points and 14 rebounds vs. Portland (11/20/15).

It was the first time two Buffs had a double-double in the same game since King and Wesley Gordon did against Washington on Feb. 13, 2016. King had 10 points and 10 rebounds in that game while Gordon had 17 points and 14 rebounds.

Dallas Walton (2 points, 1-of-3 FG, 8 rebounds) He recorded a career-high 8 rebounds. He had just 10 rebounds coming into tonight’s game.

Lazar Nikolic (7 points, 3-of-5 FG, 8 rebounds) career highs with 7 points and 8 rebounds. He’s made 5 of his last 7 from the field after starting 3 of 9 over his first six games. He had just five rebounds in the previous four games.

Dominique Collier (16 points, 4-8 FG, 6-8 FT) season-high 16 points and led the team in scoring for just the fourth time in his career and first this season. Tied career highs with six free throws made and eight attempts. Averaging 11.3 points over the last three games (3.8 ppg in first five games). Scored in double-figures for the 19th time in his career.
