PHP Staff
Janine, earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Tennessee. She is a nationally recognized expert in sexual assault and traumatic stress, and treatment for survivors. With over 30 years of counseling experience, Janine has contributed significantly to sport psychology in a collegiate setting. Janine has authored several notable publications and research works, which highlight her expertise in the neurobiology of trauma, secondary traumatic stress, and innovative treatment approaches for survivors.
Kylie, is a University of Colorado Boulder alumna and holds a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and incorporates this approach to help clients process past and recent trauma, enhance athletic performance, address negative core beliefs, and support nervous system regulation for stress management. Kylie has a strong clinical background working with athletes of all ages and skill levels, from adolescent athletes to Olympians, navigating a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and stressors associated with the demands of athletic performance and sport culture.
Haily earned her Master's degree in Sport & Performance Psychology from the University of Denver. She is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and has completed specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and Prolonged Exposure for PTSD. With over 9 years of clinical experience, Haily has helped both athletes and non-athletes with disordered eating/eating disorders, body image distress, emotion regulation, trauma and suicidal behaviors. Haily also has experience helping athletes at different levels and across a variety of sports develop the mental skills necessary to perform at their best.
Alli, is a Mental Performance Consultant and Case Manager, currently serving as a Clinical Intern. She earned her master’s degree in sport and performance psychology from the University of Denver and is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant through the Association of Applied Sport Psychology. Alli has years of experience creating and facilitating mental performance workshops for teams ranging from youth sports to Power 5 programs. She also has clinical experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and eating concerns as she works towards licensure.
Toni, is a Colorado native with over two decades of experience in higher education. She began her career at CU Boulder in the early 2000s and went on to expand her professional journey in Student Affairs at several other higher education institutions. Toni is dedicated to bringing a calm, inviting environment and prioritizing student needs. She is a mom of two adult human children and her Bully pup, Quetzal.
Conner, is a Doctoral Student Intern who earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The Ohio State University. She is currently pursuing her PsyD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver, having earned her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology along the way. Conner has clinical experience working with individuals dealing with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Jahnia, is a Doctoral Student Intern who earned her master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from California State University, Long Beach. She is currently pursuing her PsyD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver. Jahnia has sport psychology experience in a collegiate setting and clinical experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders.
Fievel the Facility Dog received his advanced training from Canine Companions for Independence and is expertly trained to work in a professional setting. He knows over 40 commands that allow him to interact with clients and staff in a gentle and loving way. In his free time, he enjoys long walks, being in his backyard chasing squirrels, and playing with his dog sister Roo and two cat brothers, Nemo Michael Phelps and Felix. Drew the IV is a black Labrador/Golden Retriever cross born in Santa Rosa California as part of the Canine Companions national non-profit.  As a puppy, Drew was raised outside San Diego where she learned to paddleboard, hike, and romp on the beach. She was professionally trained at Canine Companions’ Southwest Region training center and matched with Dr. Janine D’Anniballe in November of 2024.  Drew moved to Colorado to begin her career as a Facility Dog at Psychological Health and Performance at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Drew spends her days supporting CU student-athletes and staff with her wiggles, wags, and gentle nuzzles.  In her free time, Drew enjoys walks, chasing balls, napping in the sun, and of course, playing with her big brother Fievel.
