Colorado-San Diego Notes

San Diego ties the series with Colorado at 3-3 and has won the last two. The Toreros have won two of three in San Diego.

Colorado has lost its last six true road games and 13 of its last 14 since the tail end of the 2016-17 season.

After averaging 30 free throw attempts over the first two games, Colorado was held to half that amount, going 9 of 15 from the charity stripe (.600).

USD ended the game on a 30-17 run over the final 9:55 of the contest. The Toreros made just 2 of 14 from the field to start the second half, but finished by making 8 of their final 15. USD also hit 12 of 14 free throw attempts in the final 20 minutes.

Colorado’s seven blocked shots were a season high and the most in a game since also recording seven at Washington on Feb. 17, 2018.

Evan Battey (18 points, 7-13 FG, 4 rebounds) recorded his first double-digit scoring game and also his first two field goals from 3-point range (2-3).

Tyler Bey (6 points, 8 rebounds, 5 blocks) registered a career-high with five blocks, surpassing his previous best of three, which he achieved in the last game against Omaha. Bey already has nine blocks on the season (3.0 bpg). His five blocks were the most since Wesley Gordon had five at Washington on Jan. 18, 2017.

McKinley Wright IV (14 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists) recorded his 25th career game with five or more assists. He moved into sole possession of 28th place in career assists at Colorado with 192. Wright had a season-high seven rebounds after grabbing just four in the previous two games. He logged his 30th career double-figure scoring game.
