Residential and Commuter Camp FAQs

TRANSPORTATION
Any campers who will be flying to attend camp should use the Denver International Airport (approximately 40 minutes from CU-Boulder). For $40 each way, we will have one of our staff members pick up and drop off your camper. Please make sure to make this option on your registration. Our staff will be in contact with any airport transportation requests to acquire travel information.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT
Check-in and Check-out procedures will be emailed you 2 weeks prior to the start of camp.

SUPERVISION
All campers are supervised 24-hours a day.  We offer a 1:12 adult to camper ratio in the dorms, dining halls, on the field, and every camper will be personally walked with their group to all activities.  The camp director stays in the dorms and will be available all hours of the day. Campus police and residence hall personnel are also available at all times.  Rooms are locked as well as doors to the residence halls – a key is required to access all buildings.

FOOD
Our award-winning dining center offers an exciting fusion of community and cultural dining experiences featuring 10 micro-restaurants that create a culinary experience for customers that both educates and engages the senses. There are plenty of options that suit all food allergies.  See more here: https://living.colorado.edu/dining/menus/Center+for+Community

ROOMMATE REQUESTS
When registering for the residential camp, the registration form will ask for a preferred roommate. Please list the first and last name of the camper you would like your camper to room with. There are only two campers per dorm room. We do not have the ability to have rooms with three or more campers. If you are attending in a team or with a group of friends, please email cusoccercamp@colorado.edu with the subject line Roommate Request. In the email, please include the list of campers first and last names. While not guaranteed, we try our best to accommodate all requests. If you have an odd number in your group, we recommend trying to find one more friend! If not, it is a great way to meet new friends.

TEAM ASSIGNMENTS

For the residential and commuter camp, your child will be placed on a team at the first session on the first day. They will then receive their team number. Their team number will determine what time they will have training sessions and evening matches. Each team is made of a random assortment of campers of similar ages and balanced field positions. Since the teams play each other in the evenings, they are organized this way to keep their competitive levels even. A schedule will be sent out to parents where you can reference your child's team number. You will be able to see when they are playing, and what field! Please ask your child for this information if you can. Due to safety of our campers, we will not send out a list of which campers are on which team. Campers can request to be on the same team as their friends, if age appropriate. Campers will need to talk with coaches on the first day at the first session.

COACHES
The entire CU coaching staff as well as other coaches from Division 1, 2, 3, NAIA and Junior Colleges will be in attendance. Closer to camp, we will have an updated list. Click Here to see the coaches who attended at our last residential camp in 2025.
