Colorado University Athletics
The Colorado Leadership Academy is for second and third year student-athletes providing insights, strategies, and skills necessary to become effective leaders on your team, on campus, and in the community.
Second year student-athletes participate in monthly workshops to understand what good leadership looks like, be able to talk with other second year student-athletes about leadership, how to learn from current leaders and how to develop personal leadership skills for current use now as well as in their future.
During the third year, the focus is on servant leadership by providing group oriented experiences with a need for analysis, decision making, and reflection as well as peer mentoring. Examples include being a part of Inclusion Advisory Committee, First Year Program Planning Committee or other opportunities both in and out of the athletics department.
If both years are completed, student-athletes will be recognized within the athletic department!
