Colorado ends the regular season at 16-14, tied with Arizona State for eighth place in the Pac-12 at 8-10. The Buffaloes will be the No. 8 seed in the 2018 Pac-12 Tournament and will face the No. 9 Sun Devils in a first round game on Wednesday, March 7, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Tip time is set for 1 p.m. MT. Colorado and Arizona State split the season series, each winning at home. The Buffaloes gained the No. 8 seed over ASU by virtue of its 1-1 record against regular season champion Arizona (ASU was 0-2 against the Wildcats).
Utah narrows Colorado’s lead in the series to 27-22 as the teams split the season series. The Utes have won nine of the last 12 and has a 9-6 edge since the two teams joined the Pac-12 in 2011-12.
Colorado’s 54 points were a season low and its three 3-point field goals matched a season low.
Colorado had just one road win during the regular season (1-10), its fewest since a 0-10 mark in 2008-09
McKinley Wright IV (16 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists) moved into fourth for points in a freshman season with 426, passing Donnie Boyce who had 417 in 1991-92.
Lucas Siewert (11 points, 7 rebounds) has scored in double-digits in three straight games for the first time in his career. He has 10 double figure scoring games in his career with six coming in the last nine games. Siewert is averaging 14 points and 6.7 rebounds the last three games.
