Stanford-USC Quotes
Stanford Head Coach Amy Bokker
On First Pac-12 Tournament Win:
"It's awesome. We are really excited and I really commend our team for having the grit that they did and really digging in. We knew USC was in a must win situation. I'm really proud of the effort they put forth and we knew USC was going to be a grind but we are excited to see Colorado on Sunday."
On Flipping The Script Against USC:
"Our team is just really committed to each other, supporting each other and playing well for each other. We tried to have a pretty deep focus early in the year because we played some tough teams out of the shoot of our season to stay committed to do what we do. I think focusing on us has really helped us be able to succeed."
On How The Seniors Been Reacting To This Pac-12 Experience:
"We feel so fortunate to be a part of this conference and this scenario. We have been treated like royalty. Colorado has done an awesome job as the host. I think a lot of teams that host from here on out have a lot to live up to because the experience our team is getting has been amazing."
USC Head Coach Lindsey Munday
On Difference From Yesterday To Today
“Obviously two very different teams. Defensively, Stanford plays a zone so we needed to adjust to that. They are really effective in transition so we needed to try and stop them to slow them down but they got a couple of looks out of that. They are just overall a really, really, good team so we knew that we had to come out, even though we played yesterday, and play a full 60 minutes.”
On this past season
“I am just thinking about today really. I am really proud of the girls. I am just proud of their fight."
