Washington improves its series lead over Colorado to 15-11 and has won the last three. The Huskies win in Boulder for just the fourth time in 12 tries.
 
Colorado’s loss is its first of the season at home (7-1) and snaps an overall eight-game win streak at the CU Events Center.
 
Washington scored the first 12 points of the game and never trailed. The Huskies led by as much as 15 early in the second half. Colorado battled back to get within two (67-65) with 5:52 remaining before UW ended on a 10-5 run.
 
Washington shot 55.1 percent from the field, the fourth time CU has allowed an opponent 50 percent or better this season. The Huskies shot 63.3 percent in the first half (19-30), the highest in any half for a CU opponent this season.
 
Colorado allowed eight 3-pointers in the first half, tying for the most this season (Indiana State). The Buffaloes held UW to 1 of 7 from 3-point range in the second half.
 
Colorado missed its first seven shots of the game but rebounded to make 12 of its final 18 in the period.
 
D’Shawn Schwartz (22 points, 6-10 FG, 3 steals) recorded career highs in points, steals, 3-pointers made (4) and free throws made and attempted (6-6). It was his first career 20-point game. He entered the game with only eight steals in 46 career games, and never more than one in any one contest. He scored in double-figures for the seventh time this year and third in a row. Schwartz is averaging 16 points while shooting 54 percent (15 of 28) the last three games.
 
Shane Gatling (8 points, 6 assists, 4 steals) logged CU-career highs in assists, steals and minutes played (35). His four steals are also a team season-high and the most by a Buffalo since Namon Wright had six at Xavier on Dec. 9, 2017. He is the first player other than McKinley Wright IV to have five or more assists this season. Gatling played nine minutes longer than he had in any previous game in a Colorado uniform.
 
Tyler Bey (15 points, 9 rebounds, 6-11 FG) recorded his ninth double-figure scoring game of the season. Averaged 20.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and shot 67 percent the last two games (16 of 24).
