Colorado-Utah Notes

Colorado drops to 10-7 overall and 1-4 in the Pac-12. The Buffaloes have lost six of their last eight since beginning the season at 8-1.
 
Utah narrows Colorado’s lead in the series to 27-23 and has won the last seven in Salt Lake City.
 
Colorado’s 19 points in the first half was its fewest since also having 19 in the first half at Oregon State on Feb. 6, 2016 (19-30). The Buffaloes dropped a 60-56 decision in that game.
 
Colorado scored 50 points in the second half for the seventh time this season, second time on the road (Air Force)
 
Colorado falls below .500 in Pac-12 Conference regular season games (64-65).
 
Colorado sported its fifth different starting lineup of the season. Sophomore guard McKinley Wright IV missed his first career game with a shoulder injury. Freshman guard Eli Parquet made his second career start.

Colorado’s 11 turnovers is its second fewest of the season (9 vs. Colorado State). All 11 came in the first half.

Shane Gatling (21 points, 6-6 FT, 4 rebounds, 3 assists) registered a personal CU-high with 21 points, his first collegiate 20-point game. He scored all 21 of his points in the second half. After starting the game 0 of 10 from the field and 0 of 6 from 3-point range he made 6 of his final 8 attempts, and 3 of 4 from the 3-point arc. Matched CU-bests in rebounds and free throws made. The four rebounds are his most since his Colorado debut vs. Drake. He has made 35 of his last 41 free throw attempts (.854)
 
Tyler Bey (10 rebounds) registered double-figures in rebounds for the ninth time this season and eighth time in 12 games.
 
Daylen Kountz (13 points 6-9 FG) career highs in points and made field goals while matching his personal best in field goal attempts. It was his fourth double-figure scoring game and third in the last six games.
