Colorado falls to 0-2 in Pac-12 play for the third straight year – all on the road.

Arizona State’s win ties the all-time series at 9-9. The Sun Devils continue to hold a commanding 8-1 lead in Tempe and have won the last six vs. Colorado at Wells Fargo Arena.

Colorado switched up its starting lineup for just the third time this season and first since the second game (Omaha). Eli Parquet made his first collegiate start in place of junior guard Shane Gatling.

Colorado had a season-high 10 steals, its most since recording 12 against Iowa on Dec. 22, 2017, and its most in a true road game since having 12 against these same Sun Devils on Jan. 25, 2014.

Colorado shot 83 percent from the foul line on the Arizona swing (30 of 36).

Colorado is averaging 61.8 points while shooting .367 from the field the last four games (83 of 226).

Colorado matched a season-low 19 field goals made (Arizona) and had a season-low 28 rebounds. It was the fewest rebounds for the Buffaloes since recording 27 against Arizona in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Pac-12 Tournament.

Arizona State outscored Colorado 50-20 in points in the paint and 22-8 in fast break points.

Arizona State’s 83 points are the most given up by the Buffaloes this season.

D’Shawn Schwartz (10 points, 4 rebounds, 5-5 FT) recorded career highs in free throws made and attempted. He has made 12 of 13 from the line over the last four games (.923).  He recorded his fifth double-figure scoring game of the season.

Daylen Kountz (10 points, 4-4 FT) registered his third career game in double-figures, just two points off his personal high. Career-high four free throws made. Since beginning the season 6 of 17 from the line (.353) he has made his last nine.

McKinley Wright IV (12 points, 3 steals, 3 assists, 2 blocks) scored in double figures for the 12th time in 14 games and has done it in 39 of 46 career outings. Tied a career-high and team season high with three steals. He seven steals over the last four outings. He remained in 17th place in career assists at Colorado, moving his total to an even 250.
