Colorado improves to 91-38 all-time over Colorado State and 37-28 in Fort Collins.
Colorado’s 56 points are its fewest in the CSU series since a 54-53 overtime win in Boulder on Dec. 19, 1981. The 48 points allowed to CSU are the fewest in this series since a 60-44 Buffs win in Boulder on Jan. 11, 1988. The 104 points combined are the fewest since that same 1988 game.Colorado holds a team under 50 points for the third time this season, the most since the 2011-12 squad held five teams under 50.
CSU was held to 48 or fewer points for just the fifth time since the start of 2010-11.
CSU was held to 12 first half points, the fewest for a Colorado opponent since Utah scored 11 on Dec. 31, 2011. Colorado won that game 73-33, the first Pac-12 Conference game for both teams.

Shane Gatling (20 points, 4-6 3FG, 7-12 FG) recorded his fourth 20-point game in a CU uniform. Season highs in points, 3-pointers and overall field goals made. Was his second multiple 3-point FG game of the season (USD). Had made just 8 of 30 entering the game including 4 of his previous 19. Gives Colorado a 20-point scorer in a second straight game after having none in the first eight.
D’Shawn Schwartz (8 points, 9 rebounds) career-high in rebounds. His previous high had been eight, twice last year, against Cal in the Pac-12 Tournament and at Arizona. Schwartz is the first player other than Tyler Bey to lead the team in rebounding this season.
Lucas Siewert (12 points, 6 rebounds, 2-3 3FG) second-straight double figure scoring game. Has made 7 of his last 10 from 3-point range. Did not attempt a free throw the first eight games, but now 6 of 6 over the last two.
McKinley Wright IV – with three assists moved past Stevie Wise for eighth on Colorado’s career list. Wright now has 379. Wise had 377 from 1987-91.
Tyler Bey had a season-low five rebounds, but enough to pass Randy Downs for 21st on Colorado’s career list. Bey now has 624. Downs had 622 from 1982-86.
