Colorado improves its all-time lead over USC to 10-7, snapping a four-game Trojans win streak in the series. The Buffaloes even up their record against USC in Los Angeles at 4-4.
 
Colorado records its second-ever sweep of a Pac-12 road trip. The other came at Oregon (48-47) and Oregon State (72-68), Feb. 7 & 10, 2013.
 
Colorado improves to 5-6 on the road and has won three of its last four. It’s the third time in the Tad Boyle era the Buffaloes have five true road wins in a season, the other two coming in consecutive seasons, 2012-13 and 2013-14. Colorado’s three Pac-12 road wins are its most since winning three in 2013-14.
 
Colorado has won three-straight in the Pac-12, matching its best win streak in any conference regular season since winning five straight in the Big 12 in 2005-06. It’s the 11th time Colorado has won three in a row during the Pac-12 schedule. The Buffaloes won four-straight games against league opponents to win the 2012 Pac-12 Tournament.
 
Colorado made 13 of 15 from the free throw line (.867), sinking its final 11 in a row. D’Shawn Schwartz’s two free throws with 14 seconds made it a two-possession game and provided the final scoring (69-65). Colorado made all seven attempts in the second half.
 
The Buffaloes are 52 of 59 from the line over the last three games (.881) after shooting just 23 of 39 (.590) in the two games prior to Oregon.
 
Colorado shot 61.7 percent from the field in the two second halves on the Southern California road trip (29-47) and 95 percent from the free throw line (20-21).
 
Colorado improved their season record to:
  • 8-1 when holding its opponent under 70 points.
  • 11-2 when at least four players score in double figures
  • 13-1 when outrebounding the opponent
  • 12-2 when shooting at least 45 percent from the field
  • 11-3 when outshooting the opponent
  • 10-2 when shooting at least 70 percent from the free throw line
 
McKinley Wright IV (20 points, 8 rebounds, 9-14 FG) recorded his 10th career 20-point game and fourth of the season. It was his most in a Pac-12 game this year and most since scoring 20 at Hawai’i. His nine field goals made and eight rebounds tied season highs. Wright led the Buffaloes with three assists, moving past Chauncey Billups for 14th on CU’s all-time list at 284. Billups had 282 in his two seasons (1995-97). He has now scored in double-figures in 44 of 54 career games.
 
Evan Battey (14 points, 5-7 FG, 6 rebounds) scored in double-figures for the sixth time this season and second time in four games. It was his third game with at least five field goals and seventh with at least four. In those seven games with at least four field goals, he has shot 66 percent (35-53).
 
D’Shawn Schwartz (13 points, 4 rebounds, 3-3 FT) made all three free throw attempts including the decisive pair with 14 seconds left in the game. He improved his free throw accuracy to 86.2 percent in Pac-12 games (25-29). Averaged 14 points on the two-game road trip after scoring 14 points total the four games prior to the L.A. swing. Scored in double-figures for the 10th time this season.
