Colorado-Texas Notes

Colorado finishes the season at 23-13 tying for the third most wins in team history. All four seasons with 23 or more wins have been under head coach Tad Boyle. The Buffaloes finished the season winning 12 of their final 16 games.
 
Colorado drops to 13-10 all-time in the NIT. The Buffaloes are 0-4 in true road games in the NIT.
 
Colorado drops to 50-69 all-time in postseason play (including conference tournaments), 24-27 on the national level (NCAA, NIT, CBI).
 
Texas improved its overall lead in the series to 15-10 and 8-2 in Austin. The teams have split their two meetings since Colorado joined the Pac-12 in 2011-12.
 
Colorado’s 55 points tied its season low, matching its output at Washington on Feb. 23. The Buffaloes’ 18 field goals and 32.7 shooting from the field were both the second-lowest marks on the season. Colorado had 17 field goals in the Pac-12 Tournament semifinal vs. Washington and shot 32.1 percent in that same game (17-53).
 
Colorado played in its 36th game, tying the 2011-12 team for the second most in team history. The Buffaloes enjoyed their third-best seasons in free throw percentage, points and field goals logged their fourth-best rebounding margin ever.

Tyler Bey (18 points, 13 rebounds) recorded his 17th double-double of the season, finishing as the Pac-12’s season leader in that category. It was his 11th double-double in his last 16 games. Bey led the Buffaloes in scoring for the 16th time this season and led in rebounds for the 28th time. He finished the season with 23 double-digit rebounding games.
 
Bey’s 356 rebounds in 2018-19 are the second-most in team history trailing only the school record 401 by Andre Roberson in 2011-12. His 17 double-doubles ties for the eighth most in one season joining Shaun Vandiver (1988-89), Alex Stivrins (1984-85) and Cliff Meely (1969-70).
 
Bey finished the season leading the team in scoring (13.6 ppg), rebounding (9.9 rpg), blocks (44) and field goal percentage (.541).
 
 
McKinley Wright IV (11 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists) finished with 167 assists, tying Mike Reid (1985-86) for sixth on CU’s single season list. Scored in double-figures for the 53rd time in 67 career games; 26 out of 35 games this year. Missed his final free throw attempt, ending a streak of 19 straight made.
