Colorado-Washington State Notes

Colorado improved to 15-4 overall and 4-2 in the Pac-12, the program’s best marks in both categories since similar records in 2013-14. The Buffaloes are 27-8 over the last 35 games.
 
Colorado increased its series lead over Washington State to 14-5, including a perfect 9-0 in Boulder.
 
Colorado sported its fourth starting lineup of the season with Lucas Siewert replacing Tyler Bey (hand injury). Siewert made his first start of the season and 31st of his career. Bey missed his first game after playing the first 86 of his career.
 
Colorado had three players record double-doubles:
McKinley Wright IV: 10 points, 10 assists
Lucas Siewert: 16 points, 10 rebounds
Evan Battey: 12 points, 10 rebounds
It’s the first three-player double-double for the Buffaloes since Siewert, Wright and Tyler Bey did it against Colorado State on Dec. 1, 2018. That game also marked Siewert’s last double-double before tonight.
 
Colorado held Washington State to 37.3 percent shooting and had a plus-17 rebounding average. The Buffaloes improved to 8-0 this season and 67-5 in the Tad Boyle era when holding a team under 40 percent and at least a plus-8 advantage on the boards.
 
Colorado ended the game on a 24-6 run over the final 12:12
 
Colorado held its opponent under 60 points for the eighth time this season.
 
McKinley Wright IV (10 points, 10 assists, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks) set a Colorado career record with his seventh points-assists double-double, breaking his tie with Jay Humphries (1980-84). His seven double-figure assists games ties Humphries career record. Overall it was his ninth career double-double. His three blocks tied a career high. His 10 assists tied a season high, a mark he’s now hit three times in the last seven games, averaging 7.7 assists during that span. He moved past Jose Winston (1998-01) into third in career assists (442).
 
Lucas Siewert (16 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals) records his third career double-double and first against a conference opponent. Led the Buffaloes in scoring for the second time this season and 10th in his career. His 10 rebounds tied a career high, the other two instances coming in his other two double-doubles, back to back games vs Portland and CSU last year. With three 3-pointers, he increased his career total to 121, passing Chauncey Billups (120 from 1995-97) for 14th on CU’s all-time list. He is averaging 12.7 points over the last three games.
 
Evan Battey (12 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists) records his fourth career double-double and third this season. Enjoyed a nice bounce back from being held to no points and a single rebound at Arizona. Led or tied for the team lead in rebounds for the fifth time this season. Season-high three assists.
 
Dallas Walton (7 points, 4 rebounds, 3-3 FG) season highs with seven points, four rebounds. Was a perfect 3-3 from the field and has made 8 of 9 field goal attempts over the last six games he’s appeared in
